Shaniko wool is a fully traceable U.S. grown and processed fine (20.4µ) Merino/Rambouillet wool that is Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certified.
What is RWS and why is it important? This is a certification done through professional 3rd party audits with the goal of ensuring the protection of animal welfare, preservation of the land, and social welfare protection.
Shaniko wool comes from multigenerational ranches in Colorado, Nevada, California, and Oregon. The wool is washed, carded, and spun in North Carolina.
