We're celebrating the arrival of Isager Eco Baby with a Field Knitting KAL! Cast on Camilla Vad's textural design masterpiece, Field Sweater with Kecia and friends, every other Saturday beginning November 4. The full KAL schedule is below! Read more.

Product description

We're celebrating the arrival of Isager Eco Baby to Fancywork with a Field Knitting KAL! Knitters have been going bananas over Camilla Vad's textural design masterpiece, Field Sweater. The central design element – the grain stitch – is a relaxing and rhythmic motion made up of simple yarn overs and basic cabled stitches. If you don't fancy a pullover, but instead prefer a classic cardigan, you're in luck! Camilla is releasing Field Cardigan in late October. A Field Slipover is also in the works and expected later this month.

Join us Saturdays, November, 4 & 18, and December 2 from 3-5pm!

Stop in the shop and reserve your Field Sweater / Field Cardigan / Field Slipover yarn and start swatching in anticipation of this very fun knitalong!

WIN PRIZES! For each MKAL meetup you attend, you'll be entered to win a raffle prize worth $50! Increase your chances of winning simply by attending each week. Plus, get a bonus entry if you attend all four meetups!

THE SCHEDULE:

This Knitalong meets in person at Fancywork on alternating Saturday afternoons:

  • KAL Meetup 1: Saturday, November 4, 3-5pm
  • KAL Meetup 2: Saturday, November 18, 3-5pm
  • KAL Meetup 3: Saturday, December 2, 3-5pm

HOW TO REGISTER:

FAQs

What's a Knitalong?
A knitalong – or KAL – is a social event designed to bring the maker's community together around a specific pattern or yarn - or sometimes both. Enjoy connecting with others while knitting the same garment or working with a particular yarn together. This is a fantastic time to gather together with others in our fiber arts community, enjoy camaraderie with comes with working through the same project and get a little guidance and support along the way.

What ISN'T a Knitalong?
A KAL is not a class. You should be reasonably familiar with the techniques required to work through the project at hand. However, help is never far away! If you find yourself in need of extended project support, we offer Help Sessions twice weekly on Wednesday & Saturdays from 1-3pm.

Why the participation fee?
We work hard to provide fun, content rich events that support the fiber arts community in Central Oregon and to offer opportunities to gain skills and knowledge about our shared craft. While we strive to strike a balance between affordability and value, planning and hosting such events requires significant resources. If you would like to participate, but find the fee to be a financial hurdle, please email us. We value inclusion over all else and will work with you to make your participation possible.
